IKEA PAX Wardrobe System Planning and Installation
Plan your storage space with our expert tips.
There are many ready-made PAX combinations to choose from. Or, you can design your ideal PAX wardrobe with the size, look, colour, and specification that’s perfect for your room, as well as for your storage needs.
To plan your wardrobe on the basis of IKEA PAX, we need to accurately measure the space in which we want to place it. Use the following instructions so that you will not miss the key elements:
- Draw a sketch of the space on a piece of paper, as in the following examples.
- Measure the height from floor to ceiling in several places and record the smallest in the drawing.
- Measure the width of the available space in several places (different height above floor) and record the smallest in the drawing.
- Do not forget to mark points such as light switches or contacts on the drawing (especially if you plan lighting in the wardrobe!).
After measuring the space correctly, go to the PAX wardrobe planner on the IKEA website and design your wardrobe.
